Do you remember the day you were told you were free of cancer? You had overcome this massive illness, you wanted to celebrate & feel like a sexy woman again but where to start, your body & appearance has changed so much right?
Sometimes I am lost for words or don’t know how to express my support emotionally when cancer is mentioned. One thing I have noticed that survivors want to talk about is the changes it causes to their appearance, body shape & the impact that has on them mentally as women!
Having spoken with many survivors, they still want to feel comfortable & stylish while going through this most difficult health crisis. Anna Crollman
– breast cancer survivor & the voice behind my cancer chic, a blog she created to share her story says to invest in a women’s tailor/fashion designer as our bodies will completely change their shape throughout the treatment & having someone on hand to work with to adapt their wardrobe to suit is amazing!
One such tailor/fashion designer/life coach Asta Jakubson is providing a personal service to her clients where she helps them to feel beautiful inside & out. As part of her life coaching service self-love firstly is key to feeling whole, feeling at peace with yourself & comfortable in your own skin.
“she made me feel radiant & like a woman again” said one of the designer’s clients. “Everyday is a chance to create a memory & to love a little more”

“Everyone wants to look beautiful despite their circumstances & it is my job to do that” says the international award winning fashion designer.
“Health is the biggest & most important gift in life & undergoing cancer treatment is extremely challenging. The prospect of losing your hair or your breasts has a huge impact on us as females & not only aspects our appearance but women want to feel sexy! I have always wanted to combine my fashion skills as a designer & to create something that is beneficial to our health too. Having suffered the loss of my own Mum, not to cancer but to another vicious disease which attacked her health & having worked with so many survivors as clients, it made me appreciate living life to its fullest. I wanted to empower these amazing women with the services I provide.
I turned my attention to researching a fabric which has protective properties. The fabric is made up from 99.9% silver shielding fabric. It is scientifically proven to protect us from harmful electromagnetic fields which can wake up cancer cells. The fabric itself is engineered in Germany & the collection is handmade by me in Ireland” The significant protective properties found in the fabric have been proven to block this harmful radiation & as a cancer survivor the immune system can be very prone to all diseases. The silver fabric drapes beautifully across the body covering up any problem areas you may feel self-conscious about.
“I wanted to offer a handmade service to cancer survivors with my new collection where they feel comfortable & stylish wearing it for their treatment. My scarves are girly & soft to touch as they are contrasted with a silk fabric & embellished with chakra stones to promote health. As I work as a life coach & energy healer, I understand the huge importance of mental health too. I have also designed a beautiful chemo scarf in my collection for patients going through their treatment. I most recently completed a custom design for one of my clients who had lost her hair from the treatment. She was attending her daughter’s wedding & I made one to match her outfit. I can combine any fabric of your choice, cotton, silk etc with my silver fabric. The most important thing for me is to help women through this di cult period in their life, to offer hands on service as a life coach, make them feel beautiful inside, sexy on the outside with designs that show the world the hugely strong women they are!
